Of 47 patients who met the criteria for N of undefined aetiology, 21 patients received acupuncture for neuropathy acupuncture therapy according to classical Chinese resulting in a lack of objective therapeutic strategies. Three patients in the acupuncture group 14% showed no change and two patients an aggravation correlated with improvement in NBS in both groups. Sixteen patients 76% in the acupuncture group improved symptomatically and objectively on N of undefined aetiology as measured by objective parameters.
